And now...

I'm laughing loudly... ironically...
If only for the fact that I have NOT kept up with this blog since April and now that it's late September, SO MUCH has happened.
I've been majorly busy with work, in that, I hated my job.
Got fired due to truancy in August and now I'm basically unemployed and searching with a $-300 in my bank account for rent LAST month and slowly, everything is closing because I basically was the one to pay for EVERYTHING. Netflix, down. Cell Phone service, about to terminate in 24hrs. Car insurance, a month unpaid. Gas tank, low as hell. Unemployment decided not to help out. I did find work but it's less than part time. Stress levels are through the roof and my quotas on asking friends and my boyfriend for help are at their peak. I refuse to beg. Damn pride.
So far, fridge is also low but I can look at a few bright lights:
  • Boyfriend provided rice and beans to eat
  • a few veggies too
  • this included paste
  • was able to make a few chicken legs for dinner tonight-will add rice and beans soon with a butter sauce cuz I like my rice saucy
  • Internet still up (for now) so I have Youtube to entertain myself.
  • Shelves of books for when the internet burns up.
  • I'm breathing (if hyperventilating)
  • I have an apartment (for now)
  • I have a bath (will take one soon)
  • My babies have food (2 cats)
  • I entered my first writing contest!
That last one still hasn't reached out to tell me if won or lost so fingers crossed!

Anyway, that's all I have to vent about today. Hopefully there'll be better news soon. Check back in tomorrow!

Well!

My beef bourgeoisie was well received but the recipe decided to seize on me and make less than I bargained for.
More people than intended wanted to taste of the brew and I wasn't clever enough to foresee this! (or prepared to make more)
I learned to make red tamales, except for the actual folding.
I died for WW (not during this timeline but just wanted to mention it).
      My January Birthday passed nicely.
Went bowling and threw up from drinking so much.
      Visited my father-figure's grave (grandpa)
Got a plesantly surprising Valentine's Day from my long-term boyfriend.
Watched a child get bombarded by flashing camera's on her own birthday.
Faked an Irish accent on St. Patrick's day.
Watched Capt.Marvel and felt my uterus literally expand but thought it was nice.
Fixed my grandpa's car enough to drive around properly.

I have indeed been AWOL for a while since it's April now and I await the new MARVEL movie. I still work at the same place and find it less stimulating than before. I do think I will be moving on but I have to wait until July to see if my plans to explore this planet fall out or follow through.
Perhaps some reviews for this entry?
Captain Marvel was a movie. That's almost it. I didn't see the actress as bland or lifeless. If you've seen her in Scott Pilgrim vs the World, you'd know that she's actually like that... eh.
What really hit my ovaries was that the movie was very woman empowerment preechy. It was released on Woman's Day. It had a cat. It was woman against woman... even if she was an old woman... there's also a female Supreme Intelligence at the climax.
       (heh... climax)
Honestly, I would have tried to help out the old lady at the beginning but as soon as she flipped to launch a kick, she's on her own!
Oh and new outfit making with color coating.
I am a woman... female... I got the ovaries and go through the motions so I qualify to review!
I did enjoy the movie. I paid for it and went to watch it twice. I am pleased with the editing. I am extremely happy with the song choices. You can ask any of my fellow theater audience because I was singing along... loudly.
